Paige loved her career, even though she was staying away from home, where her son Mason and her husband Victor was living in. Through thick and thin, Paige and Victor had worked their marriage out, despite the miscarriages which traumatized them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Paige, Victor was a supporting husband because he was always there when she needed after the miscarriages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s okay, Paige,\u201d Victor would say. \u201cWe\u2019ll have our baby when the time is right. If not, there are other options.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When they gave birth to baby Mason, they were over the clouds as the pregnancy went successfully. Mason became their priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMason is a lucky kid,\u201d Victor said. \u201cHe is incredibly loved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paige was a chief executive of a brand, so she was travelling a lot. And that meant that she would leave her son and husband alone a lot. But with her husband, she was not worried, as he was the perfect father for Mason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want a babysitter or a nanny taking care of our son,\u201d Victor would say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you can handle the days, then the evening shifts are all mine,\u201d Paige responded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now when Mason was four and his pre-school was arriving, Paige talked with her boss, and her travels were decreased as she wanted to be more into her son\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But she was away for three days for the meetings, and the only thing she wanted was to get back home and hug to her son. As she left the airport, she directly went back home to her son and husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The house was silent when she got inside, but there was her husband\u2019s voice coming from upstairs.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBuddy, you\u2019ve got to promise me one thing, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOkay,\u201d Mason said, \u201cWhat is it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got to promise me that you won\u2019t tell Mom what you saw.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I don\u2019t like secrets,\u201d Mason said. \u201cWhy can\u2019t I tell Mommy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not a secret, Mason,\u201d Victor said to his son. \u201cBut if we tell Mommy, it\u2019s going to make her sad. Do you want Mommy to be sad, buddy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t,\u201d Mason sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Paige was in shock, she slowly went downstairs and called for her family, \u201cMason! Victor! Mom\u2019s home!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in here,\u201d Victor yelled back from upstairs. As she went upstairs again, she saw her son playing with his toys, and Victor sitting on Mason\u2019s bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s going on?\u201d She asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNothing, honey,\u201d Victor said, winking. \u201cJust a boys\u2019 chat. Welcome home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victor then stood up, kissed Paige and said, \u201cGot to get back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paige tried to keep it cool after what happened, and she was thinking about the thing her husband didn\u2019t wanted from her son to tell her, which would make her \u201csad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paige was away for her business trip, and she asked Victor to sent pictures of Mason. In one of the pictures, she saw a pair of blue shoes in the background. They were not from their house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was shocked. But tried to calm herself down. She said to herself, \u201cA nanny with expensive shoes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When she returned, she found her son alone, sleeping. When she went into Mason\u2019s room, little boy was awakened. \u201cHi, baby,\u201d she kissed her son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then she heard sounds from bedroom. \u201cDad\u2019s not downstairs?\u201d She asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMommy, don\u2019t go in there. You\u2019ll be sad,\u201d Mason said as he stopped his mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then she barged in, and caught her husband with another woman in their bed.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPaige!\u201d Victor was shocked. \u201cIt\u2019s not what you think!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo I look that stupid?\u201d Paige asked, as the woman locked herself into the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have nothing else to say to you,\u201d Paige said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat did you expect, Paige?\u201d Victor asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re never here,\u201d he said. \u201cYou\u2019re never around. And when you\u2019re home, you spend all your time on Mason or working. What about me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI need human contact, too,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t know what you get up to when you\u2019re flying all over the country. I bet you\u2019ve got stories, too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, Victor,\u201d Paige said. \u201cI\u2019m not you. My vows meant something to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
